Amateur Radio
Bill was licensed at the age of 15 as WD8PAF, and by 16 was the holder of a General Class Amateur Radio License. In 1983 he upgraded to an Extra Class License, and the Call Sign WB8Q. His wife Angela also holds and Extra Class License, WA8I Bill enjoys operating 80 meter CW and has been working toward a 6 meter “worked all grid squares” award. Bill can also be heard occasionally on the Upper Peninsula Net, on 75 meters, 3.721 Mhz.
He always carries a 2 meter HT with him in the car, though is usually too preoccupied in the car to turn it on. Bill operates 160 - 6 Meters, 2 meters, 70 Centimeters using SSB, CW, FM, RTTY, PSK 31.
 
Michigan Mason
Bill was raised a Master Mason in 1983 at the age of 21, and is a member of most all Masonic Bodies, including York Rite, Scottish Rite, Shrine and several invitational organizations. As a Past Master, he served his lodge as WM in 1989, and in 2008 became a Grand Lodge Officer.
